Positive People on the Move

So yesterday my mother and I took a trip to the America Mart in downtown, Atlanta. We went because my mother is about to start being a buyer and selling items. Her company is called "Positive People on the Move", I like the name and hopefully me and her can collaborate when I get my fashion line up and started! But my mother also signed me up as a buyer also, so I can get this "Arab Money" lol. Here are a couple of pics I took from my visit, they have some nice high-end items there, although the building if not finished yet! Make Love Not War

So Last night was a very fun night! After proceeding from class I met up with a good friend of mine and a new friend from school, and we decide to hit up the "Broke $ Boujee" party which was on Euclid Ave. right by little 5 points. Now this was my first time going to one of these functions, and I must say I will be returning to the next one!!! I had so much fun, although it was a lot of people it was a good atmosphere, music, drinks, and people. I got to see a very special friend who I haven't seen in a long time, I was so excited! There were lots of souvenirs passed out at the party like t-shirts and scarves like the one you see in the picture. I also took a couple of dope picture that should be posted on Broke $ Boujee's website soon. So go check'em out and see what's the fuss about? But you know I'm going to put it on my blog anyway. lol

I Bet He Wasn't Prom King...

So Have you heard the "Prom Queen" song from Lil Wayne coming from his "Rock and Roll" album called "Rebirth" set to release April 7, 2009. But just like how he taunted us with the "Carter 3" pushing it back so many times and then finally coming out. Hopefully he wont pull our chains this time, but the question I'm wondering is? Will he sell a "Milli" one more time? Only God knows, but as a fan I don't like the fact that Lil Wayne says he doesn't believe in the bible, like I know were entitled to our own opinions! FLY FIT: Old School Fly Dude

Today was a great day! I was off from work, I got a hair cut, & I thought I was real fly today! Now as I was cleaning my room this morning I keep thinking to myself what am I going to wear today? Did i wanna look preppy, sophisticated, handsome, street, or what? But I decided lets go "Old School". For all my 1988-1989 baby's, don't you remember in elementary school during recess posted up with a button down shirt & a jacket wrapped around your waist? Man it brought back memories! I got a lot of love today from people at school, I got a lot of comments like "ooh he look cute" lol thanks ladies!! Oh yeah by the way, the jeans I have on? are vintage, so u could never ever find them unless you have a time machine! Sorry Haters!!

Wake Up To A Better Sunshine

Yesterday I read something that motivated me, and showed my how I should live my life for now on. It was from the words of Bebe Campbell Moore saying, " As I grew older, part of my emotional survival plan must be to actively seek inspiration instead of passively waiting for it to find me."

I felt like this has to be the realest thing someone has ever said. Like she has such a good point! Say if your a journalist, you can just sit here and wait for a story to come? you have to be a go getter and find it yourself. So with me comprehending her words I'm not just going to sit her and wait for a new ideal of how I want to do my fashion? I'm going to continue to look and search for what things I like and I know it will come to me some way some how. So I encourage you to do the same as far as how you live your life, so you can wake up to sun looking like the picture above. The "SUPRA SKYTOP (PINK BENGAL)" was named after the wild Bengal Cat, coming straight from the jungle for the Spring/Summer 2009 line. I've heard everything from, "you look cute today!", "you look like you need to be in cali, where you from?", " what up blood?" lol. I wasn't even trying to look like a blood, I just wanted to do a nice red monochrome outfit. I liked it a lot and think I'm going to do most of my outfits this way! just to let you know. but here are the details:

In, Jay Z's song "Excuse Me Miss" featuring Pharrell, he drops a line in his verse saying "You might gotta, you might gotta go get you some Scooby Doo's. Gotta throw on ya Scooby Doo's; those are shoes by the way." If not familiar, click here to listen. We'll what he meant my "Scooby Doo's", were a pair of Converse "Chuck Taylors", and just by looking at this shoe you see a image of "chucks" featured in these kicks. So these are the new "Scooby Doo's"!!!
Louis Vuitton gives us a look at their newest sneaker, coming from their 2009 Spring/Summer collection. The high-end shoe will come in a premium black color-way, calf leather upper, with an embossed LV logo on it's side. There running a smooth $744 for a pair. Show me how you rock them if you get these "Fly Kicks"? I'll post it!

I have no clue! But when I do find out? I'll be sure to tell you, well show you when I am wearing them. These are a must have shoe, like the outfits for these? Are unlimited! Yesterday was a great day for me, I had no complaints! I went to work, went to Macon Mall with some good friends, and to end it right RED LOBSTER!!! I know, I know that's not a "Hot Spot" but I haven't been in a long time and I love there biscuits!!! lol Anyway my "Fly Fit" was really nice but not too much!

Dont Be So Paranoid

Valentine's Day is approaching us very soon and it comes to my attention that I don't have a

valentine this year. I thought I did have one a couple of weeks ago when me and a certain someone was together, but were not anymore. So now I'm feeling like Kanye on his "808 Heartbreaks" album, so what is this fly dude to do? Because I thought I was in love, but i guess not? I may have been really infatuated but I realized that real love goes know where.

So after reading this, I felt like the only person I should be saying "I love you" to is God and my family. Because no matter what? The love you family and God has for you never leaves. And it's so true, I am so thankful for what God done for me in my life. He has blessed me with so many things, people, knowledge, money, and faith. That I am so grateful for what he has done for me, I thank him everyday and will be sure to do that tomorrow morning while I'm sitting in church. My faith, in the words of Kanye " is on a hundred, thousand, trillion" that I know he will bring me that special someone I can share the same love that I have with him. Because what doesn't kill you, makes you stronger! So with my previous losses, comes upcoming winnings. In conclusion February 14, 2009 I'm not going to worry about if I have a valentine or not, because as long as someone loves me I have everlasting valentines.

Hey my all my sneakerheads!!! Check out these joints! Are they fly or what? The Vans Chukka shoes are one of my favorite models from vans. The Vans Chukka - Shaffers Crossing shoe comes from the soon to be released "Shaffers Crossing Pack". The inspiration behind this shoe is Shaffer’s Crossing, Colorado, a small southwest of Denver known for it’s extensive history as part of the railroad industry. The shoe sports wool uppers which evoke essences of railroad workers uniforms. The colorway is somewhat smoggy, making use of black, grey and white and the inner lining is dressed in red and black flannel. This would go great with a sum acid washed jeans, & a red/black lumber jack flannel shirt. So be on the look out for these "Fly Kicks"!!! I'll be sure to have them in my closet!

Pharrell Williams, owner and designer of the high end clothing line " Billionaire Boys Club" and "Ice Cream". Coming out with some real "Futuristic" items in his Spring/Summer 2009. The "Billionaire Boys Club Saturn 3M Logo Crew Neck Sweatshirt", is a hot item in this season's line (not online, but coming soon). Although most of the Fly clothes on bbcicecream.com are mostly sold out! But there are a couple of cool tees, sweatshirts, and some really fly sneakers featured on the website. There a little bit prices for some folks, but in the words of T.I.P "it ain't tricking if ya got it". Bush Kick Rocks! My President Is Black!!!

Jay Z, one of the best rappers alive right now, has once done it again. Coming out with another set of controversial lyrics on Young Jeezy's song "My President is Black" off "The Recession" album which is one of my favorite albums of 2008. Now I'm not a HUGE fan of Jay Z, but I do find myself bobbing my head to his tunes. "I'm loving it" in the words of MC Donald's, of how the rap game is showing so much love to my big home Barack Obama. I believe this country is going to change for the better. Who alsois a celebrity shopper & a buyer from Bloomingdale's & Neiman Marcus. He will be featuring Men & Women brands like Jimmy Choo, Prada, Kenneth Cole, The Full Spring/Summer line from Coach & others to name a few. From ESPN to GQ, Lebron James is a great "show"and I say show because when you see him live in action your eyes are glued to the tube. He's one of the most highlighted basketball players in the NBA since Jordan. I know that's a big throne to sit on, but at 21, he's on his way to that royalty. GQ magazine featured this all star in the Feb. 2009 cover. Reading his article you will hear about when, The greatest basketball player on earth schools a team of GQ staffers. What started to be a 5 on 1 game(Lebron vs. 5 players), ended up being a 3 on 2 game where Lebron, to me show these guys they should leave basketball to him. You Can Stop Complaining, Because Im Finally Here!!!

Hey Friends,
I know I told you I would show you outfits that I wear so you could get ideals! So sorry I'm off one day! But here is what I call my infamous "Fly Fits". Now this particully outfit I decided to start off by picking my:

1. Denim: I chose my odd looking jeans, which I made myself. And you also can do it too! They where a basic pair of light wash blue jeans, which I thought was too boring for me, and bought a fabric dye called RIT dye. You can get it from your neighborhood grocery store or wal-mart or just click the link, and they have all kind of colors. These pair of jeans I chose golden yellow & tangerine orange, its real simple jus read the instructions all you need is a stove-top and washing machine.
2. Shoes: I decided to go with one of favorite number Air Jordan's, 12's where you can never go wrong , because there so beautiful! lol I love them! And yeah if you dont have these? "THE AUTHENTIC ONES" atleast. I see someone didnt have a good christmas 2008! These were a MUST HAVE!
3. Shirt: Now I went with a graphic tee which I also designed myself. I design tees for a side hustle so if you want one? holla at me! and this particular shirt has "perposely" bleach spots on them with the Kanye Bear from the "Graduation" album. Real Fly!!!
4. Outerwear: I just went real basic, a black cardigan with white lines to offset the Air Jordans. Some people call it "Offset Swag".
5. Accessories: Once again basic, a nice Jesus piece and a Michael Kors time piece. You dont need to much with this outfit, Oops!! I mean "Fly Fit".

So this is one recipe to have a "Fly Fit", so I hope you wrote it down! more to come!

FLY CUTS

I'm pretty sure your like me, and wondering exactly where is Kanye going with his hair cut? I'm thinking he's going for the Stevie B 1990, album "Love and Emotion" look. I know your probably hoping he doesn't grow the back to be this long. But I can't hate, because unlike others I actually like the cut! It's retro, new, different, and has "Stupid Swag" lol. So hands down to you Kanye! Keep doing your thing & continue to make great music.
So today I had to go to the barbershop myself, because it was about that time! Now I don't know about you? but I make my way to visit the barbershop every week. That's just one of the steps of being fly my friends. Now I go to a local barbershop in the area of Jonesboro, Georgia on Tara Blvd called Dee Jay's Barbershop. I have my own barber Rico, who knows me & my head very good, because I come out looking clean! He has skills, so go check him out if you need a cut. But just take a second & check out my video of my cut & tell me what you think? Now I'm kind of like Kanye with my hair cut, because its different. I have a 80's box style haircut with a Mohawk in the back in a "V" shape. Its looks good to me & wouldn't be mad if you wanted it to? That's what I'm here for, I'm a trendsetter. I'm Baaaaack! Here to bring you another Flyness Report hot off the presses, so hear all about it!

Today was a good day to start showing you bloggers some video's on how to's of being fly. So I got a good friend of mine from Bauder College who is a fashion design student just like me. To show you what is means to be fly? Now you may have your answer & I may have mine. But just take a minute & see what he has to say. Jamal Ognelodh, 24 had a great outfit (a.k.a. "Fly Fit") today, he followed with the "Monochrome" look (meaning "one color" for you slow folks) with a dash of street style. So ladies here's another fly dude to look at, from walking down the halls of Bauder, he alway's has been fashion fowarded. So I was glad to have inteviewed him for my blog.

But I want to know what you think? SO TELL ME!

KING Flyness

You know lately I haven't been up to my 200% swag status. I actually have been down a little bit. But a great friend of mine sent me something today that made me forget all my trouble & tilt my crown again (a.k.a. Bankhead Fitted Hat). So read this & I hope you put yours back on too!

We Came Along Way From Bankhead!!!!

In this year's GQ: Best New Designers in America 2009 I came across someone who has came along way! From music now to a fashion icon, André Benjamin (a.k.a. André 3000), 33 creator of the Benjamin Bixby line, Founded: 2008, New York & Atlanta. We all know Andre has always been fly when it comes to fashion, so I expect nothing but the best from him.

"3 Stacks"(a.k.a. Andre 3000) shows us what his line is about & where it came from.

• The philosophy: “During OutKast’s Stankonia period, I looked like I was from Mars. The music was otherworldly, and my character reflected that. I wanted to put that spirit into classic clothes, but ones that people could actually wear.”
• The look: “I think the cut of Benjamin Bixby comes from comic-book characters, which I’ve been drawing since I was a kid. In comic books, the waist is always pinched, but the legs are full-cut, kind of like the Cracker Jack man.”
• The influence: “In high school, in Atlanta, when Grand Puba told us to wear Girbaud jeans, I wore Girbaud jeans. Then you had this prep movement happening: Ralph Lauren, Eddie Bauer, Bass, Sebago, and Timberland. So imagine me walking through [local housing project] Bowen Homes in the morning to catch the bus, but I’m dressed like a prep. As you get older, you go back to those things.”

Although Benjamin Bixby wasn't the only line featured in this years GQ: Best New Designers in America 2009. Other lines such as Save Khaki, Robert Geller, Yigal Azrouël, Shipley & Halmos, and Rogues Gallery were also there to give you a look at what's next in menswear. We'll its official now! Barack Obama is that "Dude". We finally made it ya'll! I'm so glad I'm here to see the day & live the day after seeing our 44th president a African American like me. MTV made a big impact on young America by broadcasting The Youth Inaugural Ball live in 162 countries and 33 languages. With headliners such as Kid Rock, Fall Out Boy , & "the talk of the town dude" Kanye West. Barack said Kanye's "Touch the Sky" Song inspired him through this election process. I also agree with him that song has pushed me through some tough times when I wanted to give up. But you got to remember how far you came, to never give up, & to continue grinding until you touch the sky!

So I hope I motivated you today to go out & follow your dreams! Be the best! Don't stop til the clock stops, because everyone was made to be something great & contribute to this world like God did for Barack Obama being our president.

So for the shirt I would go with a Hawkings McGill Military Roll-Up Shirt, a pair of BDG Sunbleached Skinny Jeans in green, & some icey white Vans Chukka Boots.
